Mary Hollister is dedicated to the role education plays in transforming the lives of students and strongly believes the Women's Philanthropy Council is creating a community of women who are passionate about Husson. University scholarships for women can change the future of their lives. Mary also hopes to help the Council encourage and engage other women to support Husson as well as learn more about the various programs available.
Mary has been an educator, museum curator, art gallery director, working artist, and Director of Development for two different universities. In Louisiana, she was the lead Development Officer for the Campaign for the Visual and Performing Arts and at The Ohio State University, she was a Development Officer for Academic Affairs, which raised funds for scholarships.
Mary was born in Michigan where she lived for the first 38 years of her life. Before moving to Maine, she and her husband Frank Pergolizzi, Director of Athletics at Husson University, lived in six different states. Living in Maine has been a long time dream for them. They are an Airedale Terrier family and own their fifth - a female named Piper. Mary enjoys hiking, taking long dog-walks, gardening, reading, interior design, volunteer work and being with her family and friends.
